The Shemagh is a fabric traditionally used by Arab Men as a headdress, Origins of the Shemagh are unknown but theories have been considered that they may be from Turkey, where Ottoman women wore the "Yashmak" as a form of veiled headdress. Another theory is that the fabric originates from India where wool, silk and cotton, have been dyed in patterns made of white dots on a colored ground for export.
