The book aims to preserve the memory of Beirut rather than provide a complete history of the city. Instead, it captures its constantly changing reality through the perspectives of six internationally renowned photographers who documented Beirut in late 1991, shortly after the civil war. Despite working amid widespread destruction, they sought to portray the city's condition with sensitivity, offering a visual testimony that underscores the devastating consequences of civil war.
