The book uses photographs stored in the funds of Armenia National Cinematheque, State History Museum of Armenia and the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Yerevan and private collection. The photographs depict Yerevan from 1890 to 2002. The authors aimed to create a multi-faced and changing, yet unified and recognizable image of the city.
