Saliba Douaihy (1915–1994), a pioneering Lebanese modernist painter from Ehden, evolved from luminous figurative paintings and landscapes to geometric abstraction characterized by radiant colours and hard-edged forms inspired by the landscapes of northern Lebanon. This book presents Douaihy as a talented writer through his letters to Father Yuhanna al-Habib Sader, revealing a creative talent that extended beyond painting.
